I love your ripple blanket i did one but got fed up and made it much smaller. I am just about to start on the cosy blanket from attic 24 i love the start of things more than the rest. I love the ripple blanket and have done one but i have been crocheting for about 20 years. Usually i just did double crochet uk all the way round but as i m getting braver i decided to straighten off the top and bottom of the ripple.

For the border i worked a couple of rows of uk treble stitches and finished with a picot edge. It also grows very quickly so you could do a blanket for your mum in no time at all.
